Coach Morgan began his martial arts journey with the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program during his enlistment with the Marine Corps. Following his military service, he embarked on a career with the California Highway Patrol and enrolled with Cortez Full Circle Martial Arts. As a student of Professor Jason Cortez, he is honored to assist him by sharing his knowledge with others when the opportunity arises.

Morgan also serves as an instructor with the Advanced Officer Safety Training Unit within CHP and incorporates jiu-jitsu into training uniformed officers as well as cadets. Morgan pulls from his background as a Marine and law enforcement officer to support his jiu-jitsu training methods. Morgan is a departmental range officer, departmental defensive tactics instructor, and has completed the Gracie Survival Tactics Instructor course. When not training, he spends time with his family, at the range, and watching Houston Texans football.
